Murano Glass Jewelry and
Handmade Italian Greeting Cards
(Paypal window will open)
Glass beads have been made in Venice and the neighboring island of Murano for centuries. The terms "Venetian glass" and "Murano glass" are often used interchangeably to describe the finished glass made in either place. Venetian beads are traditionally crafted using a lampwork technique and are also sometimes blown or fused. They are truly beautiful with an incredible variety of designs that incorporate 24kt or sterling silver foil, avventurina (copper sparkles), and millefiori mosaic pieces.
The jewelry below is handcrafted using genuine Venetian glass beads, sterling silver or 14kt gold vermeil components, and accented with Swarovski crystals, semi-precious stones, and seed beads. Click on any of the images for further information.
